D. Dewayne Rader

Vice President, National Operations-Supplies and Services

Dewayne Rader is the Vice President, National Operations - Supplies and Services.  In this role, he is responsible for deploying The Resource Group’s logistics and purchased services strategies to our Participant sites. Dewayne leads the teams responsible for on-going performance management of all national logistics and service providers, as well as, the development and continuous auditing of all national operations processes including: procurement, receiving, inventory management, materials replenishment, freight management, and food/nutrition and environmental services.

Dewayne’s teams are also responsible for Supply Chain technology (ERP) deployment, divestiture, business transformation, along with other technology enhancements to improve operations efficiency.   Dewayne has been with The Resource Group for over seven years and previously served as the National Sr. Director, Logistics and Field Operations. 

Prior to The Resource Group, Dewayne served at OHL Logistics where he managed distribution for all Starbucks locations east of the Mississippi. He also had previous leadership roles at Dell Inc and Fed Ex. With over 23 years in supply chain operations and logistics leadership, Dewayne is able to share his insight and knowledge in areas such as employee and contractor/vendor management, lean distribution, 5S culture, data analysis, contract administration, inventory optimization, statistically-driven safety stock modeling, customer relations, and more. Dewayne holds a bachelor’s degree in supply chain and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on supply chain and finance from the University of Tennessee.
