Jon Douglas

Vice President, National Operations-Pharmacy

Jon Douglas is the Vice President, National Operations – Pharmacy. In this role, Jon is responsible for all pharmacy supply chain logistics and operations. Through this work, Jon leads the standardization and optimization efforts in pharmacy purchasing, distribution, and inventory management in support of The Resource Group Pharmacy Community’s greater goal of lowering the cost of pharmaceuticals for hospitals and patients. 

Jon has served The Resource Group in many roles for the past six years prior to his current position.  He began his career with The Resource Group as the manager of Field Operations and Implementation and later moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he served as the Director of Operations. Jon was then promoted to the role of Chief Resource Officer for Arizona with the Carondelet Health Ministry. In July 2014, he accepted the role of Vice President and Chief Resource Officer for Nashville and in October of the same year was promoted to Area Chief Resource Officer for Indiana and Nashville. 

Jon brings a proven track record of success for patient care settings in the areas of Healthcare Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics and Field Operations, Sales and Lean Six Sigma. Recently, he has been recognized as a Rising Star leader under 40 by Becker’s Hospital Review.

Jon came to The Resource Group immediately following the completion of his masters of business administration (MBA) with a focus in supply chain and lean healthcare applications from The University of Tennessee. During his MBA, he worked at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he focused on lean healthcare and patient flow improvements. Prior to his career in healthcare, he held various roles in the manufacturing, transportation and sport management industries.
