Area Vice President & Regional Integration Officer

Geoff Nielson is the Regional Integration Officer, serving the Central region. In his role, Geoff is responsible for providing strategic leadership, building relationships, and bringing deep expertise for the sites of care within the Central region. In addition, Geoff coordinates with Vice Presidents, finance, ministry leadership, and other Resource Group leaders to develop and implement savings plans that support the ministry's fiscal, clinical, and safety goals. 

Geoff has been with The Resource Group for over 14 years, serving Ascension Indiana since 2013 as Area Executive Director of Operations and then most recently as a Chief Resource Officer. As the Area Executive Director of Operations, Geoff led associates at St. Vincent Health in Indiana and St. Thomas Health in Tennessee in day-to-day supply chain and sterile processing operations. Previously, he served as Director of Operations at Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas. 

Geoff earned his Bachelors of Science in Zoology (Pre-Medicine) with a minor in Business Management from Brigham Young University. He then earned his Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from Tarleton State University. Geoff is also a board member for the Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach and was previously certified as an Internal Auditor.
