Area Vice President & Regional Integration Officer

John Walker is the Regional Integration Officer serving the South region. In his role, John is responsible for providing strategic leadership, building relationships, and bringing deep expertise for the sites of care within the South region. John coordinates with Vice Presidents, finance, ministry leadership, and other Resource Group leaders to develop and implement savings plans that support the ministry's fiscal, clinical, and safety goals.

Previously, John served as the Vice President and Chief Resource Officer for Ascension Texas and St. Vincent's Healthcare Ministry in Jacksonville, Florida. He came to The Resource Group from Owens & Minor Distribution, where he spent over 20 years advancing through various executive roles, with his final position as the Director of Business Integration, supporting UFHealth in Gainesville and Jacksonville, as well as Baptist Health System in Jacksonville.

John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and International Business from the University of North Florida, a Master of Business Administration with certificates in Healthcare and Interpersonal Effectiveness Management from the University of South Florida, and is a Certified Materials & Resource Professional. He also served as an officer in the United States Army's Signal Corps, graduating from the military's Officers Basic Course at Ft. Gordon in Augusta, Georgia. Most recently, John attained Fellow status with ACHE for his continued achievement in meeting high standards of professional development, excellence, and leadership as a healthcare executive.
